Office Chairs from Anji: Mesh, Gas Lifts, and Casters

Furniture and lighting are a large chapter of China exports. Lighting already has its own town, Zhongshan. The office chair has another: Anji (安吉). Mesh chairs, ergonomic chairs, and a lot of the bamboo trade sit in that county. I do not ask a sofa factory in another city to quote a task chair.

The parts that fail after the photo

• Gas lift class, named, not “heavy duty.” A lift that sinks in a month is the common return.
• Mesh or foam, and a sit test on the sample. A mesh that bags is visible in week two, not in the showroom.
• Casters for the floor you sell into. A hard-floor caster and a carpet caster are different parts.
• If your customer requires a furniture performance standard, the report has to be this chair, this lift, and this base.

A logo on the headrest and a choice among existing colors are light customization. A new mechanism or a new arm mold is tooling. Cartons matter here more than on a soft product: a chair that arrives with a bent base was often packed, not built, badly.
