Frames and Sunglasses from Danyang

Danyang (丹阳) is where I send optical frames, sunglasses, and lenses. The city has the molds, the plating, the hinges, and the lens shops in one place. A trading company in another city can show you a tray. The tray was usually filled here.

Fashion glasses and protective glasses

A fashion sunglass is a frame, a tint, and a finish. A sunglass sold as eye protection carries a standard, a lens category, and a test report for that lens. I do not let a factory print a protection mark on a fashion lens to “help the listing.” If your market needs the mark, we test the lens you are actually shipping.

Optical frames need the three measurements your customer already uses: lens width, bridge, and temple length. Acetate, metal, and TR90 do not share a hinge or a plating process. I quote the material you named, and I keep the sample of that material.

Checks that save a shipment

• Hinge cycle on the sample, and plating that does not turn in a sweat test.
• Lens pop-out. A lens that leaves the rim in the carton will leave the rim in a shop.
• Polarized lenses checked with a tester, not with a photograph.
• CE or FDA paperwork only when the product claim needs it, and only for this SKU.

Logo on the temple and a new color on an existing mold are normal light customization. A new acetate pattern or a new metal front is a mold conversation. Danyang is on the industrial hub guide for that reason: the town already has the molds.
